Overview

We offer a fantastic opportunity to join a successful grower and supplier of Fresh Produce, who supply first class product to a buoyant customer base, to include the retail arena. We require an experienced Supplier Assurance Manager to join the business in a key position, taking responsibility for and driving forward the quality and technical performance.

Reporting to Head of Technical and working closely with colleagues across all departments, the position of Supplier Assurance Manager will manage all legislative, technical codes of practise, Food Safety, Quality and technical policies at the highest level.

Key responsibilities include;

HACCP management

Undertake Farm Assurance Audits

Ensure product quality meets expectations

Supplier contact, visiting both when required

Manage, implement, and continuously improve Quality, Technical, and Health & Safety policies and procedures

We require;

Experience in a similar Supplier Assurance / Supplier Technical Management position

Knowledge of due diligence, internal auditing, sedex and ethical requirements

Fresh Produce knowledge and exposure is key to success in this position

Knowledge of customer specific standards, Tesco Nurture and confident in farm assurance standards i.e. Red Tractor, GlobalGAP, LEAF.

Organised, methodical, and proactive approach

A high level of communication skills

Confident IT skills
